I have a fairly high-end cue that has an inconsistent hit. Sometimes it's fine, but at others it's dead and there's vibration. Joint is sleeved ivory over ebony. I'm hoping the problem is just a loose ferrule or tip but would welcome any thoughts.
Is there any "noise" consistent with the difference in playability?? Usually a bad tip or ferrule has a "noise" ???? Just a thought....
The vibration might be something loose where the parts of the cue where assembled...
