Ugh, i have no answers to any way of helping pool. But like most i have suggestion. I think independent events could better the oppurtunity for pros and amateurs. I have no clue how to put it in place but you would need to get poolroom owners across the country involved, and hold a huge event onced every month or every 2 weeks maybe. Do a $100-$150 entry fee and allow all pros and amateurs, you will get a few amateurs and short stops who will enter just to spar and test their metal against pro players. And of course have a calcutta for the gamblers, that will generate even more of a payday. Now i understand its not the promise of a weekly paycheck and there wont be any jerseys, or contracts. But it's a grassroot idea. Well there's my 2 cents not worth a crap i know, but oh well.
