Anybody familiar with the area? Which pool room should I spend some time in this weekend? Will be there Saturday to Monday. Any commentary at all is appreciated 🙏🏼

Brickyard is nicest, John Waynes has most tables, Executive is an old school pool hall. Kips on the northside, but it is garbage.

Do not one of these Indy rooms hold a decent sized 1pocket tournament once a year?

This is the post I did when I went to the area

I liked John Waynes, I played with a few people there and got to know some of the league guys, had a good time playing with them. The 9 footers were open a lot of the times I went there even though there were only a few, and some of the players were nice enough to clear the table for me to use it when they were just shooting around during league. I chatted up with the bartenders a bit and they were pretty generous with my drink pours after my second day visiting hehe. Friendlier than Brickyard I think.

I think brickyard has a couple of 9 foot tables a 3 cushion table and several 7 ft diamonds. You should be able to get a 1 pocket game in there.
John Wayne's on the south side almost always has a couple of good players in the house, but more 9 or 10 ball players.
Don't stay at the crackhead hotel by I- 465. There are a lot of catalytic converter thefts in that area. Even in broad daylight. I work a block away from the pool room.
A friend and my son run the TAP league on Wednesday night at brickyard I will have them ask around and maybe find you a game.
