inlaid rings?

I use epoxy for everything and let it dry under pressure. You got me stumped on the expansion part, I can't say I agree with that.

Cue-maker what typr of glue do you use when you put inlaid rings on? I know epoxy expands when it dries so what do you use?

The best epoxy I have found is GolfSmith Shafting Epoxy.
It takes about 24 hours to fully set up but it is quality stuff.

Willee, is it better than West ???

Sean

Sean, I use it in all critical joints (A joint, joint rings, pins, shaft inserts, coring, and butt sleeve).
I think it is stronger but can offer no evidence of that.
I know it sets up very hard and conducts vibrations better than some softer setting epoxys. Less dampining equals stronger feedback ... IMHO.
I use West system three (quick cure 5) in butt caps, inlays, ferrules (threaded) and other places that I dont think would effect the feel of the cue.
Just a preference I guess.
