Hi, I am getting ready to open a small room here in WV and I need a little advice. I have a location which is 3000 sq feet. I am leaning twords 4 bar boxes and 1 9 footer. My question is wiith the sq footage I have how many 9ft'ers could I fit comfortably if I wanted to go with just the big tables and say 1 bar box for the leauge play. My rent is cheap for the location. The land lord pays water and heat so my only utility is going to be eletric. I plan to have beer, soda and a limited menu Also I plan to have a pro shop there as well. Since Strokerz closed here in town there is no real nice place for players to play. I plan on going with Diamond tables which ever route I go. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

First off best of luck on your venture, tough times to open a room. But it can be done with hard work and paying attention to customers. As far as your question, there is not enough info for anyone to honestly answer. Not knowing the floorplan, how much seating and bar area is going to take up etc..etc..But in general, you can usually get 3 -9 footers into 1,000 sq. feet with no obstructions.

In the long run 9 footers will hurt your income more than help. I say just ONE 9 footer all the rest bar boxes. Just keep the 9 footer in the very best shape you can. Very different demographics and income for the two types of tables. Good luck in this economy. Keep us informed on your experience.

That was my thinking. My 9ft table will be just for serious players ring games ect... As far as a pro shop and cue repair I will be the only game in town and we have a pretty big bar leauge player base. Thanks

My room is about an hour and a half north of nyc its 50 by 50 square we have 6 gc 3 , 1 diamond pro ,1 diamond 7 ft and a heated 3 cushion , 12 seat full service bar I am maxed out limited storage but my house is close by . If i was smart i would get rid of the billiard and add another small table . Full serve bar and leagues are the way to go . 1 9 ft wouldnt do it here . Get a clear idea of what you want to do and go for it.
