Pretty sure you are supposed to do the glue down method on that table. get some 4"x4" lumber and get that SLATE raised up. Best advice I can offer. I have one done one table like that and thats how I did it. Watch the youtube vids.View attachment 640439
If I were to staple the bed cloth, where would I staple?
how is this helping the OP at all?? I can answer that: it doesn't at all. When is cloth installed new, tight enough?
If 2 different table mechanics/installers put a new cloth on say a 9ft pool table, and they both install the same cloth, yet the one person can't stretch the bed cloth as tight as the other installer, does that make the weaker installer wrong?forums.azbilliards.com
Valleys and Diamonds are glue only. Watch the youtube videos. That is definitely a glue down IMO. Its not an easy job. Half assin it will only make you waste time and money. So there are glue only tables? I would feel staples are going to hold better, but what do I know lol.
You need to raise the slate with 4"x4" and look at how it was installed before. It appears to me to be glued down.So there are glue only tables? I would feel staples are going to hold better, but what do I know lol.
Anywhere there is a wrinkle in front of the staples, it will extend upward, as the cloth relaxes. Your pocket facings will show wrinkles.Yea it is in the groove like you suggest, I should clean it up where bunched. The advice is appreciated, owe you a beer or two if you in the Buffalo area.
