Looking to get a daily playing setup, something nice but not to flashy. To that end I have coming an Instroke Premier 2x4. Anybody got any advice or experience with these cases?

Rounding out my 'Daily Player' setup will be a Schon STL4 and a Fury J/B.

Any feedback would be appreciated...

They are known to break at the handle. The vinyl can't take the repeated stress. Mr. Barton should have something to say about this.

That being said, it is one of the best vinyl cases out there.

Thx Fred, that's got me scratchin' my head? I PM'd JB to see what he thought...maybe I'll change this to a Geo...

How come you're moving away from the Jericho J/B and towards the Fury?

Not moving away, this kit will be for League night and casual playing, leaving the other home on the daily basis, it's just a $$$ investment thing...with the Schon I know what I'm getting, the Fury has nothing but good reviews, seems my only uncertainty is the vinyl case???

Depends ..

On how much you want to spend, but the
Action Elite Eln35 3 x 5 case I bought I really
like for $79 (Pooldawg) with free shipping. Good rubber
reinforced handle, good shoulder pad, spring
loaded butts, side zipper for jump cue butt.
butts and shafts either way.
It's a bang for the buck.

Not meant to hijack the thread...but I have a good JJ case with wheels for sale myself in the wanted/for sale section if anyone is interested. Be a great league night case.

My wife has a Instroke Premier 2 x 4, She wanted just a plain black case nothing fancy. She's had it for like 6 months now and we don't have any complaints with it. She didn't want to spend much,I didn't want her to have a junk case this is what we decided on. We are Happy with it!

Thanks for that confidence builder! I should have posted this thread before I bought...I'm just looking to put together a less $$$ kit for daily play...and the way to go was vinyl, so I went with Instroke, have a Buffalo 3x5 and love it! It's good to hear that someone has one that they are not terribley dissatisfied with or that's just faling apart! I'm hoping JB will chime in...

thx,

Jersey~

I have owned 3 Instroke Premiers...2 1x2's and 1 2x3. I sold the 2x3, (wish I hadn't now), and never had a lick of problems with it. My husband carried it mostly, and if anyone can break anything, it's my husband...Lol. Both the 1x2's are roughly 5 years old, I think, and I haven't had a lick of problems with either...not even the zippers, which is the weakest link. I will likely be buying another 2x3 here in the near future, because I believe that much in these cases! Absolutely the best bang for your buck in a case, let alone a vinyl case. Check out Hawleys for the best price on them, and choice of colors...black or burgundy.

Thx...

Thanks everybody for the input...seems the positives out way the doubt...I guess we'll see how it holds up under pressure. I'm sure it will be fine...

Thx,

Jersey~
