Instructors wanted in Texas and Las Vegas

Billiard Factory, one the nation's largest billiard and game room furniture retailers, is looking to extend a program started at the Jacksonville, FL store location.

An instructor would partner with a store location, essentially being the "house pro" for the store. The store would have at least one or two tables available for play along with the other non-playable showroom models for sale. When people call or come into the store inquiring about lessons, the store would direct them to the house pro and lessons could be arranged for a reasonable fee. All of the money would go directly to the instructor, the only requirement would be that the instructor conduct a regular free seminar on various topics to promote the store and foster education in the sport.

I've been doing this in the Jacksonville area for over a year and it's been great. I started by offering to do a monthly free clinic, which in turn not only added names to the store's email list and brought in business to the store but also fostered a community of pool players of all levels interested in improving their games. We are lucky enough to have 6 tables for rent at this location plus a 3 cushion table. It's a clean, quiet, smoke-free environment to practice and conduct lessons. We've also had several top pros stop by on a roughly quarterly basis to do a free exhibition followed by a full day paid lesson for 8 - 10 people. It's been successful enough that the manager of the store here is looking to expand the program.

The remaining locations are mostly in Texas - Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio - as well as a store in Las Vegas. Instructors would ideally be certified or have prior experience teaching. Rates should be reasonable so that most people inquiring about lessons can afford them - somewhere in the $30 - $50 per hour range seems appropriate and affordable for most people.

If anyone is interested in this, send me a PM and we can discuss and I can get you in touch with the manager here.

Thanks,
Scott
