interesting southwest

I agree. I didn't think it should bring much more than pre inlayed. I'm sure that's what Bill told the guy who traded it in too. Sorta like having Predator shafts for a Southwest, doesn't add anything.

I agree as well, i first saw this and wondered if it would bring the same amount. Oversized, and inlays added? Sounds like this cue has been through some hard times!

But........

BUT....IT'S A SOUTHWEST. It WILL bring regardless.

I thought the inlayed by someone else thing would highly deter the value.. but it's over 1400 already!!
It's an interesting story and cue...

What do the rest of you Cue addicts think?? should it bring more or less than the original southwest as it stood plain jane style?? why??

This cueaddict thinks that it will bring more, but how much more is questionable. Guess the market will ultimately determine how much this bastard cue will bring.......

Estimate

I think it would bring in the upper two thousand to low three thousand range. Then again I could be wrong............ Nice cue anyway

...but if someone wants a really unique SW, this would qualify. I remember when I first saw this cue....it was like 1999 or 2000. If I recall, John Wright had just sold it at the time. Might even have one of his old mailings laying around with it in there.

JW SOLD the cue for $2695. The fact that MCD did the inlay work was disclosed in the listing. The design was chosen so it wouldn't be "CONFUSED" with SW's work.

If the cue were in original condition I think it would sell for apprx. 2k.

As is I think 3k might be conservative.
