Is 12' table ok, or better stick with 10'?

I am looking for getting a snooker table in my basement. I really want to get a 12' table, but with the space I have (the column and the stairwell) that may preventing me to get a 12' table. I am putting that into a drawing and would like to hear what you all think. Do you think I can still get the 12' in the space I have? Thanks.

I think you will struggle to play on a 6x12 in that space.

What is the square item with the I ? Can it be relocated?

That is the column. I don't think I can touch that... It is about 9"x9".:frown:
