The last time that I installed it was back in March.. Unfortunately, I didn't snap any photos of that table.Hey folks,
I've seen 2 common images of Champion Tour Steel Gray on the web. Both are below. One is a lighter gray and one is a dark gray. Does anyone know which one is more accurate?
Also, is this the only gray they offer? Can't find anything else.
Thanks

Was it a matchroom tournament that just used a grey cloth. It looked goodI know some people will think it's blasphemous, but I love the various slate grey/steel/etc colors for cloth, better than green or blue. Every ball stands out, and it looks attractive, too.
I hope those colors become more popular so it's easier to get clean chalk of that color (coughTaomcough).

I just played at SandCastle, they installed gold cloth. I’ll take Blue, Green, or Grey over Gold.I’m ok with the gray cloth. It’s easy to see the balls.
Green is my preference
Blue should be in the bin![]()

You will hate a dark cloth. Grey (looks silver) is great on a black table. Consider the lighter color grey. Thanks all. It's going on a black table which is partly why I asked. Wanted to make sure there was a decent contrast. Also I've heard it's hard to play on dark cloth and as you can see by the second image, this one may be very dark. Will try to get samples as suggested. Glad to hear though that Bradsh98 thinks it might be the lighter. Hope so. Thanks all!
The table that I referenced above was a Valley barbox. I have a strong dislike for dark cloth, but I remember thinking that the cloth looked very nice. That's what makes me think that it must have been a lighter shade. I sometimes keep scraps from less commonly used colors. I'll see if I saved any. Thanks all. They say the Taom V10 chalk doesn’t leave a mark on the cloth. I just started using it myself.I like grey cloth, but I really didn’t like grey/silver Masters chalk. It required too much attention each shot to evenly coat the tip. Are the better chalks in that color?
The US Open had grey. Simonis. Anyone happen to know if it was their Slate Grey or just their regular Grey cloth? Was it a matchroom tournament that just used a grey cloth. It looked good
