Is my Mali an M-8 or a T-11?

There is an on-line buyer looking for Mali cues. I showed him my green logo Mali which I believe is a T-11.

I went back to pull a catalog image Wildwing had posted long ago. In that old thread, Wildwing had posted a catalog of the M series. It shows an M-8 nearly identical to the T-11. The description says the M-8 has Macassar ebony prongs vs ebony in the Trophy series 11.

Closer reading of the M series cue description lead to this question because it says that particular cue has a "filled" wrap. My cue has a clear coat over its wrap like Meuccis have. Is that a "filled" wrap?

Not to snipe the sale to the other buy, but how much is this going to be sold for? Send me a PM, I am looking for something similar.

That is old, indeed. By the way, I don't think "filled" really means anything. It's impossible to fill linen. It's not like it would have a blood clot in it. In the old days, it probably meant finished, and that's about it. The M series was simply earlier than the T series. The linens are probably about the same. And, to my knowledge, Mali didn't put a clear coat on their wraps.

By the way, the joint collar rings will tell you whether it's an M or T series. M, centered, T, towards the outer.

All the best,
WW

I think that should read 'fleck-filled' as in black-n-white flecked wrap itself and not a coating.
