It's a well known fact that some people go to hockey games and they are more excited when a fight breaks out than they are watching hockey being played.
How many of you are more interested in the antics and the showmanship in a pool match, than you are, watching the match itself?
Personally, I'm more interested in a good hard fought game or match.
The Earl and Shane match is a perfect example of what I'm talking about.
I witnessed some incredible play by Earl, I only saw bits and pieces of the last day but that's not what people will be talking about on this forum. They'll be talking about all the nonsense that went on during the match.
Earl also invites people to talk openly during his matches, by doing it himself, but if he doesn't like what he's hearing from the crowd, he gets angry and makes excuses, when he misses.
Shane even lost his cool a little at the end. If I had to spend three days with Earl in a match like that one, I would have lost it a lot sooner.
Earl is a great player, and he's fifty percent of the show. He's not the whole show. Shane shouldn't have to listen to his bullshit every time he comes to the table. It's ignorant and rude on Earl's part to do what he does.
Shane gave Earl everything he wanted in the match. The table size was a big advantage for Earl.
Earl could have had the decency to give Shane a little peace of mind while he was at the table.
