that you seem to miss shots on more than others? is there one pocket that the balls dont seem to fall into as well as they do on the other pockets?

i have sort of noticed this on my Gold Crown IV. always worries me to shoot a shot into this one particular corner pocket.

anybody else ever notice this about their own table(s)?

Your cushions could be cut wrong. Stand at the back of the pocket looking out toward the pool table. Check the angle of the facings of the pocket. You might find one of them flared more open than the other. Causes the ball to rattle rather than fall.

Every table has a "George's pocket." "George's pocket" is the tightest one and the one where George will hang his money ball on the lip.

We here haved named it after a guy I beat in a bar for $200 and then when he came over after closing to my friend's house, I beat him out of another $100 when he jawed the 9 in "his" pocket. That particular pocket was just a bit out of whack and George had no clue about it. I'd played on it before and saw its deficencies so I always hit a little softer into it to avoid the problem.

Lest you think I cheated poor ol' George, forget it. At a later time, George threatened me in my own home after I beat him out of another C note. He doesn't play me anymore, and the table with the pocket named after him is long gone. But anytime a pocket seems like trouble, it gets the name of "George's pocket."
