It’s the arrow not the archer!

I’d always said it was the other way round. But I just changed my cue from a 200$ players to a cuetec truewood. First night out and I won the tournament!

Only joking obviously but it did make me realise two things, the translation to the carbon was pretty easy, I’d heard it would take months.

Secondly it shows how much it’s a head game, I just felt good with my nice new shiny cue, so think that’s what helped.

The transition time from wood to carbon has a lot do with what wood shaft you're coming from and what carbon shaft you're going to. The bigger difference in deflection amounts will require more time to make the transition.

Htx15 to cynergy. I didn’t find a lot of difference in the deflection. However I had researched a lot before getting my first cheaper cue and all reviews implied it was a pretty decent low deflection cheap cue

A bunch of years ago I had a cue on loan from a cuemaker I was helping him sell. Did not play with it for weeks that I had it, just showed it to people. Then I through "well I have it, may as well try it". Won three tournaments in a row with it. Bought the cue myself. It's totally the arrow.

Although sometimes it is the Archer

This is what I’ve said about carbon fiber. Is it going to better I’m not so sure. I just know it hits different then wood and if that different is good to you and gives you confidence then your going to play better!

Archer is still trying to make the transition from losing a set to paying the winner. Team Oscar.

Like the old saying in the movie Bull Durham goes..."If the kid thinks he's pitching better because he's wearing womens underwear, then he's pitching better because he's wearing womens underwear." 😁

Ok I’ll try that in the next tournament and let you know how it goes. Just hope I don’t have too many shots I have to reach across the table showing my thong!

You never know...even if you don't win, you might leave with a few tips. 😁😂

“ How a cue plays” is the most personal feeling most pool players will ever experience— just ask my wife - she says that I am obsessed with finding the "right" cue - I still prefer my RB bought 20 years ago - going through 50 to 100 customs since then- my RB is still my favorite.
