Ivory Joint

I must ask, I recently purchased my first custom. After careful thought I decided to go with phenolic linen as my joint material. I am wondering how much difference in the hit would it be if I were to switch to ivory for my joints and ferrells.

The Ivory Joint may or may not change the hit enough for you to tell the difference. But the Ivory ferrules will hardened up the hit considerably over most other ferrules. My advice is to leave the cue like it is, if improving the hit was your goal for switching to Ivory.
