I'm going to be getting a jump break and thought I was going to go with a j&j to start. Seems like you folks think they're a good bang for buck. But I recently noticed schmelke makes them to. Wondering how they stack up against other budget jump/breaks. They also offer one with a purpleheart shaft. What is the difference between the PH and maple. Haven't seen many reviews on the scmelke.
Don't want anything to expensive or fancy at the moment. Just want a good solid j/b to practice techniques.
Side note. I also have been eyeing the McDermott stinger. Worth the extra $70?
