Being somewhat local to Jacoby Cues, hour drive away, just had the pleasure of watching a weekly special interest segment on local businesses in the area that our news channel does. This week it was Jacoby cues, where they interviewed Brandon Jacoby, and also a few employees. Was interesting to hear how they started, where they are at now, and also shots of the shop and people working on cues. Usually, the evening segment is a little more in depth and will have to watch for it tonight. Also, there was an interesting comment on Jeanette Lee in that she used Jacoby cues for a while, and after leaving them for other sponsors, she still would use a Jacoby cue made for her, but with her current sponsors name on it. Not sure if she still does, but I think he mentioned it was more than one as she liked their cues so much. While that surprises me somewhat, I guess it shouldn't as I have been seeing they are making special editions for other manufactures, such as Predator. So I guess when people talk about what cue somebody shoots with, or for, you really don't always know. One thing I do know is that when I demoed a new Jacoby custom cue my friend offered up to me to buy as he had too many cues and was thinking about downsizing, after shooting 5 games with it, it was a fantastic cue, not only in looks and quality of construction, but also one of the nicest hitting cues I have ever had the pleasure of playing with.
