Yeah i know they used 5/16x14 then switched to radial, this is 3/8x10 which i think is weird. Your answer doesn’t answerEASY ANSWER.
According to Jacoby website, they switched to Radial joint after 2015. PRIOR TO THAT THEY USED 5/16 X 14. ( I own two 5/16 x 14 cues)
Either joint you chose, Jacoby's are very fine hitting cues.
I believe Radial threading comes in several different sizes. (3/8 x8, 3/8 x 6 etc...) I believe 3/8 x 10 is a standard Radial size.Yeah i know they used 5/16x14 then switched to radial, this is 3/8x10 which i think is weird. Your answer doesn’t answer
It was ordered that way from Jacoby cues. As mentioned above by Mark, Jacoby started out with 5/16-14 and eventually switched to Radial. That does not mean they do not make cues with other joint screws. You can order almost anything you from Jacoby as long as they have it.Why is it not radial?
My apologies. In the Cue World, 3/8 x 8 would be standard RADIAL Pin. (I was thinking about McDermott when I wrote this thread.)I believe Radial threading comes in several different sizes. (3/8 x8, 3/8 x 6 etc...) I believe 3/8 x 10 is a standard Radial size.
So this cue was ( probably) made POST-2015.
I could be wrong but this is my understanding.
