This weekend, August 1-2, we'll be at Fast Eddie's in Goldsboro, NC, for the twelfth stop of the 2008-2009 Jacoby Custom Cues Carolina Tour. As usual, it will be $1000 added, guaranteed. First place is guaranteed $1000.
The Jacoby Main Event will start at 1:00 on Saturday. There will be a player meeting at 12:30 and a break contest immediately following. $65 entry fee for the Main Event, plus $10 if you don't have a current tour card.
On Friday night at 7:00, we'll have an Early Bird Tournament that will be open to anyone. Double elimination 9-ball, race to 5, $25 entry.
Also, on Sunday at 3:00, there will be a Second Chance Tournament that is also open to anyone. Same format as the normal Early Bird Tournament (double elimination 9-ball, races to 5, $25 entry) except it will be single elimination.
Juniors will play at 11:00 on Sunday (16 players, maximum). The $10 Junior Tournament entry fee will be waived for juniors who play in the Main Event.
A Ladies' Tournament (16 players, maximum) will be offered on Sunday, also at 11:00. Their $10 entry fee will also be waived if they enter the Main Event.
Ladies and Juniors do not pay for tour cards this year. So, $65 gets them into the Main Event.
As usual, I'll be raffling a Limited Edition Jacoby, valued at $850, so don't miss your chance to win a nice cue for your collection.
