hi i have noticed over the years that japanese cue salesmen
have been eating up the nice cues made in america
and selling them for 10 times the value.
like i wonder in the past ten years how many japanese are on southwest list for cue orders, and like showman a guy who only builds a dozen cues or more a year i was told a japanese guy has agreed to buy all the cues he makes blindly without seeing them. also the same for josey they buy them all up.
im afraid alot of nice cues we will not see because they will eatem up like
PACMAN!



just an observation ive made not to say its right or wrong just want to make that clear.


has anyone else observed this and what do you think about it?
im just afraid if they find out one of our great up and coming cuemakers like
andy gilbert sales a great cue so cheap. they will gobble them up too.

I'd say so what? Let the free market rule ... one can always try to forecast future and suck up all the Gilberts now and try to make profit. Or move toward next undiscovered great cue maker ...

If they are truly overpaying then they will pay for it later ... it happened in real estate for 'em.

i think you can go to any show and not only meet many cuemakers, but also buy just about any cue you want.

as for andy gilbert his cues have been in japan for many years.
