So in my 7 years in the army, and 3 or 4 years of playing pool before that.. I have had the pleasure of playing in many different areas and becoming friends with many players.
It occurred to me today that I have only really reconnected with 2 of the guys i used to play with via AZ. So if i have ever met you and/or played with you... please post here so that we can catch up.
Key rooms of interest at one point or another:
Mowie's Cue- Springfield, IL
Starship Billiards- Springfield, IL
Mainstreet Billiards- Tucson, AZ
Famous Sam's- Sierra Vista, AZ
Shooters- Sierra Vista, AZ
Stix- Killeen, TX
Stix- Harker Heights, TX (different name now, not sure what it is)
Ride the 9- Bloomington, IL
Antiques- Colorado Springs, CO
Phantom Canyon- Colorado Springs, CO
Big Daddy's- Glen Burnie, MD

curious to see who might be floating around out there...

I played in Main St. in Tucson from opening day until about 1 year before it closed up.
I have to be honest, your name doesn't ring a bell. Of course I'm terrible with names, if I saw you, maybe I would put it together.
I play on a team with Jack, who ran all the tournaments at Main St. back in the day, and Donnie who was considered their "houseman" for a while. If you don't know of me, you would at least know those 2 guys for sure?

We all migrated over to Pockets when Bob Jackson left. His partner, John, was an idiot and ran the place into the ground. I won't go into all the details but, Main St. went bankrupt and had to auction off all the equipment. It was a sad day for pool in Tucson.:frown:

Wow, sorry to hear that. I always thought that was a pretty nice room. The tables werent in the greatest shape, but they played decent and the layout was really nice.

The main people that I played with at main street were Rico, Zeb, and Glen Graham. Other than that i pretty much stayed under the radar.

If you are referring to Ricardo (Rico), he moved to California, Zeb is in the military now. That was a shocker!! Glenn is still around. He doesn't make cues any more, I think he sold his lathe.
