My new rugged case is here and I don't know why other lower priced case makers are still in business. This case is worth double the 100 I spent on it.

Overall best case for the money, IMO.

They are the only cases I will ever buy again.....PERIOD. JB cases are solid and durable. OP, you won't be disappointed with your purchase.

Yep....they are crazy good for the price. If people could compare them in person I truly don't think any other sub-$300 case would ever be sold.

?'s re the sterling case...

1. what are the four horizontal straps used for and

2. does it also have the side pocket for a jump cue

not picking, just comparing

thanks

1. The top and bottom horizontal straps attach the shoulder strap to the case. The middle two horizontal straps attach the handle to the case.

2. At least on the 4x8 case (I don't know about the others), the larger (bottom) pocket has a compartment for a jump-cue handle. It is accessible by a side zipper.

dont get me wrong
the jb rugged is a great case
but sterling is at least one to consider and for me (maybe not everyone) a better choice

If the Wave case came in a clean simple color option it would be great....but it doesn't. I dislike every configuration of that case, unfortunately. That Sterling is solid, I think the Rugged is nicer as I don't care for the vinyl, but solid interior.

i agree the color options now available are not apealing to me either
i have several 4x8s in black
why they are back ordered for along time and being produced now i have no clue

iknow it says black /brown but the pic shows what used to be available

Sterling makes a very nice case (John Barton designed, of course). I own a Sterling Wave and a JB Rugged, and comparing them side by side you can see that the materials used for the JB Rugged are superior across the board. Since the price is comparable I would buy another JB Rugged. Sterling would be my second choice.
