Jeez...Shane just ran 2 consecutive racks in banks. 10 balls.

Yeah, I watched several of his matches on his way to this win. I have never seen bank pool at this level before, not ever. I'm sure some oldies are going to bring up some ancient 5" pocket runs, not even close. Tight pockets, banking with shape and world class competition. At one point he was at something like 14 consecutive banks as you mentioned above, wow... I'm kinda hoping Atlarge post stats on this one.

This might not be 100% accurate as it was almost 20 years ago but I'm sure it's close. Back around '06, Jason Miller won the overall championship at The Derby. I believe it was that year in a semi-finals match (race to 3) he broke, made a ball, and ran five banks. In the second game, he broke, made a ball, and ran five banks. In the third game he broke dry. His opponent missed, then Jason ran five banks. I seem to remember the entire set taking only like 17 minutes.

shane played great the entire tournament. but billy had him down and let up in the hotseat match iirc, with two unfortunate scratches

Any youtube link?
Yes. Search GriffsTV channel. US Open banks. The matches aren't split out yet, so you'll see 5 or 6 hour vids under the LIVE tab. Just about all the matches are there, just need to scroll...

One pocket is on now.

2004. Ran ten, then I think he won the last set in either 2 or 3 innings.

Truman Hogue ran 13 on another tape.
