Jeff Olney Hoppe

thanks

Thank you for the nice replies, Dale, Tony, and everyone at AZ over the years. AZ has help me bigtime by letting people post pictues of my cues. soo many people visit and only getting bigger. i have only made a few Hoppe"s but loved making them, four point, four veneer, one hoppe ring, very good look and no need for inlays. do you want to hear an old story about cocobolo? jeff o

Not many peolpe know this but the first time i looked at cocobolo i said this would great for cues this is great cue wood, very strong, color and grain is so nice like no other. if there is a wood with a rich look, its cocobolo. anyway the first 200 cues i made a 180 were cocobolo no points, i still see the local guys with the 15 year old cocobolo cues. 180 out of 200 cues ya i like it. my favorite woods are pau ferro, bacote, be, and coco i had many kinds of woods these tested the best for me for me over 15 years and i tested every cue for at least 33 ranks. jeff o

Jeff .....hopefully one day I will be able to get one of your cocobolo plain janes with a birds eye handle....:D

Dale, I heard you been running 3 racks on a 9 footer try this game called run em, throw the balls out and shoot untill you miss with a little practice you can ran 100 no problem. now your 3 racks may go up to 5 racks very quick in your 8 ball game because its good way to practice it builds you up to run racks. jeff o

Got one....

My first Olney is one of these, no wrap. I've had a few ppl approach me and wanting to buy it. My son wants it too so he may be the lucky one who gets it since I'm gonna have 5 of Jeff's cues :)
