I thought I'd pass this on since some of you might have known who he was if you came through Melbourne. He was a great pool player and a good person.

Thats too bad. Didn't he just play in the one of the last pro tourneys at players?

R.I.P. Catfish...The ring game in the sky has another player. I'll miss you dude

Sad times when someone passes away.

I just learned last night of a fellow I met back in Atlanta a few months ago, who'd been around playing pool for eons, is on his last legs. I don't know how well known, if at all, he is/was - the fellow's name is Don Kick. I've no idea if anyone here would know him/know of him.

He will be greatly missed. Catfish was one hell of a guy and I don't know anyone who thinks differently. The tourney at Player's Billiards was his way of riding off into the sunset and I am proud to have been there to see him play one last time.

For any that are interested, services will be held on Friday at 11:00am at the Acension Catholic Church. The Golden Cue will be open at 1:00pm on Friday and I know many of us will be going there after services.

I hate to hear it.

I have played him many times and always had good games. The first time we played he spotted me the 7. We ended up playing even. He always gave a guy in the pool room hell about getting a bad line.
Every now and then I would see his name listed as placing in an event.
RIP

This is very sad new, I seen him two weeks ago playing in his last Florida Pro Tour Event. I couldnt believe it was the same man, His appearance had changed so much due to the cancer it made my hair stand on my head.
I met Jimmy the first year I came over and instantly took a likeing to the guy even though he kicked my ass in the tournament that day.
He will be missed on the Fl pro tour thats for sure.
If there are such things as pool gods they better watch out because they just got one great guy coming there way.

Jimmy was a very good player and a better person. He had a huge heart and never said anything bad about anyone. He was a great story teller as well as being a $5 champion as we would like to tease him. I learned a lot from him and will miss him dearly. RIP my friend.

I missed seeing Catfish at the Florida Pro Tournament. I hear he got a standing ovation from the players. I think that was awesome that his friend Bucky put him in the tournament for one last game...Bucky wanted to save his name card from that tournament, so when I went to pick it up John Ditoro said "let me sign it" which started the ball rolling for all the players and his friends to sign Jimmy's tournament name card. The pool world is full of nice people...
Jimmy was a good soul, he liked the blues, the rolling stones and pool. I'm going to miss seeing him at the golden cue.
