Does anyone use JM Chapeau shaftwood-please feel free to pm me ??

I thought JM Chapeau offered good wood fair price- 6.50 per 110 pieces + shipping. They offer curly and birdseye but were out. I will be visiting Chuck T. because he said he had curly and BEM shaftwood. And I could pick through the pile. All I did was use the billiards Enclopedia - George Balabushka got his 1000. pieces fo shaftwood in 1973 from Northfield something . I called them in VT company is still there they do differen't molding now, He referred me to Black Bear 2 bussinesses down the block. I was asked to use this company JM Chapeau. There process sounded like it would take less time- Please correct me if I'm wrong?? Mark

I have used JM shaft wood and what I got from Chuck was better. JM was white and somewhat softer. I got the medium grade stuff from Chuck and I personally like it better than the Champeau, and besides, from what I understand, it might take a while before you can get an order from them.

I also got a batch of not-so-white wood from Chuck as a request and I think those shafts are more dense, hit truer and have a much crisper tone.
