Johnson City era...Bill Geesh ring a bell?

I was talking to an older local player tonight (who plays very well by the way) and he was telling me about Johnson City and how big a tournament it was. He said he played in it several times. Anyone recognize his name?

He shoots with a 1968 Viking cue. The shaft is so dirty that it's black.
