If you have to ask, I would guess you would probably be a 3, maybe a 4.

I think they start off male players as a 3 by default, but I don't know if they make any allowances for those that are better players but new to the league. I would hope they do.

Talk to the league operator and some better players, play with them, ask them to see how high you should be.
 
Currently all male players start as Skill Level 4, ladies start as SL3 in 8-ball and SL2 in 9-ball.

In December, all new players will start as SL3, regardless of gender or format.
