It is Linen based and Atlas and Prather Custom Cue Parts both carry it.

Chris,

I've observed a lot of pros cues and most common joint is white (ivory, phenolic) black phenolic and stainless steel. I've read on these forums that most prefer a wood to wood joint.

How come pros dont use it?

The pros use all kinds of joints as their tastes are as varied as everyone elses in my observation. You could still have a white joint, Ivory or Ivorine or Implex and still have a flat face joint which is considered wood to wood.
