Joint pin engraving

I'm making a minor joint pin change and I would like to have a name engraved on it like a Bender or SouthWest. Any ideas on where I could get the engraving done? None of my local trophy shops that do laser engraving want to do it.

Thanks.

Do you have a drawing of what you want engraved? I'll bet for it to be cost effective, you will need to have a big lot done. My brother-in-law runs a cnc laser in a shop that takes on outside work. Maybe they could do it. If you want I could get a phone number for you.

I think you are in the Tampa area so there should be someone there to do it for you. Without knowing how they would do it I would think if you cauld make up a holding fixture for the screws, maybe something they screw into so it would be easy for them to just put in and remove the screws as they do them it should not be a problem for whoever does it I would think.

I'm doing my own on my cnc. Email me a bmp file of what you want and I'll see what it would take to engrave them for you. I'm using an engraving bit in my spindle, not a laser. WHat material are your pins. I'm using a 3/8 radial style pin in brass for my standard and it's easy to engrave this way.

Do you use a 4th axis to ensure consistent depth throughout the engraving?

There used to be a company called "LazerArt Techniques", I think the owners name was Larry Lieben (sp?), they specialzed in cue joint engraving. I was wondering if anyone knows what happened to them ? I had a couple of joints engraved by them 15-20 yrs. ago, I guess they went out of business ? Any info would be appreciated !!
