Joint pin/screw Repair

I recently purchased a nice used cue. The butt and shafts roll evenly. When joined, there is major wobble in the shaft that appears to be the result of a bent pin. My question is: can the pin/screw be straightened or does it need to be replaced with a new straight one? I'm sure there are others in my collection with this same problem, but none this bad. Thanks for your input.

I have straightened soft brass pins

but a lot of work, better to just replace. Any good cuemaker can do it easily, we now and then have to. First have the butt chucked up and spinning in a lathe to see if the pin wobbles. If a pin has only a slight wobble one can usually tighten the joint and the joint faces will bring it all straight again. Sometimes the face of the butt or shaft is damaged. Then have it trued up on a lathe to repair the face.
