I want to start making custom wood joint protectors and maybe doing some cue repair. What type of lathe would you recommend for doing this type of work? Something that is reasonably priced!

Zimmer, buy a LATHE, that will accomadate ar least 1-5/16" spindale tube. 3 jaw or 6 jaw chuck is better. I am in the process of building a new lathe that you can do repairs on and as an extra, at the right time, you can "upgrade" it to build cues with it. I am hoping to have it ready for the BCA trade show in July.
thanks

Thanks blud! You'll have to send me a photo and price when you get it ready! I seen a few cue lathes on cuelathe.com, but don't know much about lathes besides the crappy one I used in High School.

Blud- Do you have any photos of your new cue repair lathe that you could email me? Does it include all the tools needed to do the repairs or do I need to purchase them elsewhere?
Thanks,

Zim
