I went to the finals of the Jointed Cue Tournament. I didn't stay till the final match was completed but I believe Raphael Martinez won and Bobby Hunter took second (that could be just the opposite but it is unlikely since Raphael was up 5 to 1 race to 6 and Raphael was in the hot seat). Lauren Mah took third and Tony Chohan took fourth. There were 112 players. Great tournament. Congratulations to the Stonier family for putting on another excellent tournament!

As I mentioned on another post, I used to drive up from LA over 25 years ago to play in this tournament. I was cruising along pretty good (4 wins on the winners side) until I ran into Rafael in my 5th match on Saturday night. He tortured me 6 to 2, and then I lost a tough match to Lauren Mah 6 to 3. Lauren played a solid match with very few mistakes, and while I had some chances, I was running out of gas and couldn't get there. It was as always, a great tournament and a chance to visit & BS with a lot of old friends in between matches. I wouldn't miss this tournament, and as you could tell from the number of entries (112) many other players feel the same way. John
