I don't think I have ever taken the time to write a review before but I must say how impressed I am with Jon Spitz' cue. I wasn't going to ever tear myself away from playing with my Ernie Martinez which I thought previously to being the best hitting cues out there. I played with a Spitz while my EM was being worked on and I now play with a Spitz.

Now, as a point of reference I have played with (in order from most recent) - Ernie Martinez, Bluegrass (Richard Harris), Blackcreek, Andy Gilbert, Paul Mottey, (insert aother EM), Kikel, Jensen and Schon and even a pre-ebay DP that played great. So I have some decent cues to compare.

Looks are subjective so I will just say the cue looks great and I cannot find a single flaw anywhere. I will try to post pics soon in the gallery but it is a FS double butterfly with a hoppe ring.

The hit though is just great. It is very solid without feeling like you are hitting with a dead tree trunk. I think that a possible issue when when playing with a super solid hitting cue and people complain it hits too hard or too solid that this is what they are refereeing too - dead weight?

This cue just feels like butter. - A total even distribution of impact from tip to butt end. Like the saying goes - the cue is an extension of the player's arm, this cue creates that more than any other cue I have owned.

I am going to make a couple of adjustments to the taper and tip but as much as I loved some of the other cues I have owned, this one offers the most true and satisfying hit.

Moreover, the comments about Jon being a great guy and a pleasure to work with are dead on.

His cues are a tremendous value right now and should only go up in price (maybe sooner than later)....

Thanks for the nice review Jordan! I'm glad to hear that your enjoying your new cue. -Jon Spitz

Jon Spitz stole a $500 deposit for a custom cue from me. After nearly 4 years wait, he attempted to pawn off a cue which in no was resembled the specs we had agreed upon. I offered a numbere of solutions to him, but never received a reply regarding a refund. I have documentation on all this.
BEWARE OF DOING BUSINESS WITH JON SPITZ.
