I played a 1h tournament yesterday at Hardtimes in Sacramento. I got to meet and then play Josh Palmer and he put me out of the tournament. Thanks Josh! He plays pretty sporty! I also saw jhedri and of course Tom from Cincy. Had a lot of fun but did I get tired! Some very good 1h players.

The finals was between Joey Gebron and Tony Melendez. Tony was in the hot seat so Joey had to beat him twice. I just couldn't stay any longer and left after Joey won the first match, race to two. He has to beat him again to win the tournament. Jim Fabionar took 3rd and Robert Aldana took 4th I'm pretty sure.

I learned a lot just watching these guys! We started warming up at 12:00 and I left before the finals were over at a little after 10:00 at night! I gotta figure out how to get the stamina to play that long, and learn to play good enough to last longer than 3 matches!

As usual, great tournament Tom! You can always depend on a smooth running tournament when Tom is running it!!

I'm going to have to get up there one of these days. I have just started learning 1h and wouldn't mind playing a tourney against some better players.

Do you know the way to San Jose?

Well actually Mt. View, they have the same quality with a lot of same players on 3rd Sat. of month followed by 9 ball just like Hardtimes. So this month they are playing on the 18th and 19th at California Billiard Club.

LOL.. thanks Rick. One hole is definitely not my game, and I hope you don't take that in a bad way. I just try to show up on Saturday to get used to the small pockets on Sunday. Thought I'd see you there on Sunday because of the good Nine-ball tourney. I hope to start playing a lot soon, and get in control of matches. One of my matches with Billy Palmer had me on the hill first with two opportunites to win the match, but I picked the wrong shot each time, and like a champion, he finds ways of winning. Catch you next time.

That's definitely a lot closer. I used to play there sometimes when I was here on business in Cupertino, before I moved out here. Maybe I'll be able to get down there this month.
