I've used a Joss cue all my life. Always a stainless joint. Anyone use the Joss phenolic thread joint I've seen lately? Thoughts? Feel? Lasting?

I grew up on Joss fancy sneaky’s. IMO, their phenolic 5/16-14 joint and linen insert threads is a huge factor in why they hit so good. They’ve been around forever. Cheers

I bought a Joss sneaky pete (online) a few months back with phenolic joint. Sold it a week later.
Balance is much more rear weighted (about 2 inches) than regular stainless Joss cue, even at 18 ounces with all weight bolts out.
If you're used to the stainless balance, I would avoid phenolic.
It hit fine though.

Thats a very good observation. I like rear weighted cues, and thats another reason I always liked Joss sneakys. But definitely a big change from most steel joints which tend to be forward balanced (I think).

Cheers ✌️
