Joss HP shaft

The Joss HP shaft has a lightweight dowel in the front to reduce end mass. The shaft is 12.75. I use a regular Joss shaft at 12 mm. I am wondering if my 12 mm wouldn't naturally have less end mass/deflection than the 12.75 HP shaft. Any thoughts? Ty

Both are Aegis. The regular shaft is a 3/4 inch and HP shaft is 1/2 inch.

I've played with some standard thinner shafts, for the ones I used, the LD shafts in the 12.75, 12.5 mm range had lower deflection. But no way to know for any specific two shafts without trying them both. I am guessing the Joss shaft would have higher deflection than say a Predator 314 or some other similar shaft to that, so it may be close enough to your 12mm shaft where you could not tell the difference.
