I am parting with one of my favorite cues, the iconic Birdseye maple player from Bill Stroud’s sideways JW years. After a decade of experimentation with equipment, I finally figured out what combination of weight, length, shaft diameter, etc. is right for me, and it turned out to be a little different than how my Joss West player is set up. Which meant that the JW has been in storage. It shouldn’t be there. It deserves to be played.

Specs are:
Butt length - 29.5”
Shaft length - 28.5”
Butt weight - 16.4 oz
Shaft weight - 3.67 oz
Shaft diameter - 12.8 mm

The butt is straight. The shaft has a very slight roll. Many would describe it as straight, but it isn’t dead straight, although it is close. The shaft is perfectly smooth, having been recently reconditioned by Paul Drexler. He also installed a new tip - a Moori medium - which is unchalked.

The butt was refinished for the prior owner - by Steve Klapp. I can’t find a blemish in the forearm. The butt sleeve has three very small dings, none of which break the finish. The butt cap, and JW logo, are excellent. The bumper is also in excellent condition. The person who purchases this cue will love it.
