Here's a couple pics of a Jump Break cue I refinished and built a new shaft for this past week.....
I really love this dark brown phenolic material
so, I saved the phenolic collar off the old shaft and made this new 4 oz shaft with an Aegis ferrule and SuperPro tip.
It was an older Varney J/B (2001) which had a shaft that was whittled down to a snooker size shaft
which was not much good for breaking balls anymore
I'm still playing around with the cue....it's real light weight -- only 17.4 oz.
The shaft is oversized so the overall length of the cue is 59"; and, for the moment, balances out around 21" from the butt
-- probably going to add a little weight bolt to the butt.
The cue really spreads the balls and I can park the cue ball too
