I'm new to J.C. (jump cues) and other than hard tip, stiff shaft and short length, I need to know more.
I have not tested the various J.C. makers sticks so pointing to them isn't going to help here.
I understand there are a few different weights of J.C.'s for different types of shots. So I'm asking the cue MFG's and jump shot officianno's.
.
Currently the main concerns are weight.
_Where is its main placement, butt-end, middle or tip?
_Is there a specific percentage amount at 'X' placement(s)?

.
Since I'm 'green' in this area, are there other specs I might be overlooking? Please inform me.
THANKS!

.

I've built a couple now, mostly jump/break. Mine that I use is a very stiff maple shaft 12.5mm pro taper cut and others up to 14mm and no matter to me they both jump the same. Both are light everywhere and the tip makes it
