Just a story

I don't post many stories but thought this one from last night might be interesting and some may relate to it.

I might have run 100 last night, I know you ask "might have?"

Well, here is how it went. A friend and I were playing our usual 100 pointers last night and at the end of our second game in my last inning I ran 26 to end the game and was on the breakball. Then my friend said "hey keep it going" and racked the balls up. Well I caught a gear and continued from there for about another 30 or 40 minutes before I got hung up breaking open a cluster, I was left with an extreme cut into a half pocket and hit the point, run over :(

Now, he says to me "holy sh*t how many?" , I answer "I don't know" I wasn't putting up the score anymore on the beads. I ask "how many racks did you rack?" He says "I don't know I wasn't counting", maybe 5? 6? 7? I don't really know he says.

So there you have it, I "might have" run a century for the first time in years!! But I don't know for sure, so scratch that one LOL.

Kev

we didn't try to recount the racks by memory as we were also watching our beloved Celtics at the same time as this, it was in the 4th quarter and we just forgot about it and watched the TV.

Moral of story, don't force it, go with the flow and sometimes things just fall in place.
Very nice shooting.

Relax and it becomes easy !

Hey Kevin, The reason you ran 100+ is probably because you weren't
counting and relaxed. I wish I could just let it flow like that all the time.
Hope all is well ! Congratulations to you ! John Downie

Thanks tuscon! yes that is the moral of the story!

Hey John! Didn't know you were on the forum my friend! All is well and hope the same is with you. You are 100% correct, we were listening and cheering for our Celtics with the TV turned up as I was shooting and neither one of us were counting, and it must have been a relaxed period and just let it flow as you say.

Nice to hear from you champ!

Nice. Any idea what made this night different? Were you just in stroke?

Thanks, I guess maybe just letting it flow is my best answer to your question. I wasn't overthinking anything and it just seemed like things were falling in place. I guess I wasn't expecting to run that many as I always seem to hit a wall at about 50, we were also paying attention to the ballgame at the same time, and maybe not putting that expectation on myself allowed me to just let it flow.
