Just an idea on how to create a fan base plus revenue.

Here is just a thought, sorta a basic idea.

I will use the U.S. Open as a tournament example.

It has 16 tables set up for 7 days. They are used for 6 sessions a day which are 11a, 1pm, 3pm, 7pm, 9pm, 11pm. The current charge is $10 a session.

I would imagine the 11am session is the lowest in audience attendance, and I would also imagine after the 3pm session, you loose some people because of the large dinner break.

So what is my plan, With there being an actual Pro organization now, how about from 9am to 11am and from 5pm to 7pm the ABP supply 16 Professional Pool Players to give 2 hours of lessons to anyone that shows up and paid the extra money for that benefit.

The People that paid for that benefit can walk from table to table and decide what Pro they want to listen to and get a chance to actually hear there theory's about pool or instructions on how to play or just listen to some old road stories.

Basically, charge a flat fee of $25 that includes the 11 am session and do the same for the 7pm session and give those customers a special wristband or ? to designate them being allowed around the 16 tables.

Now how to distribute the $25? That would have to be contracted between the ABP and the TD.

As a fan, I could only imagine how many people would take advantage of this offer and I honestly feel it would benefit both the ABP and the TD if it was possible to set up. No, I dont think either the TD or the ABP will make a ton of money doing this at the beginning, but once the word spreads about the "I got to talk to JA," or "Look at my pic with Alex" or "Look at what I learned"or "can you believe it only cost $25 to do that" I think it can become a main drawing factor for the general players to attend as spectators.

As the ABP, it give many of your members a chance to sell their own instructional DVD's and create a larger fan base/following. It will also help cover some of your expenses of traveling to the tournaments so just in case you go two and out.

As the TD, it creates more of a reason for people to want to go to the event and once they are at the event and watch the first matches in that session, it makes them want to stay for more sessions.

Just a thought and didnt think too much into it, but feel its a pretty good idea that benefits both the ABP and the TD in the long run.
