I got in a small discussion with someone the other day about Sky Woodward playing any Canadian (excluding Alex P) on a bar table. Morra hjorlefson klatt. Who do you guys think would win on a bar table if they matched up...?

I don't know about Hjorlefson, but I'd put my money on Mora and Klatt at this point. If he keeps with it, I'd probably change that thought in a couple of years. I watched Woodward at DCC, in the banks, where I remember a number were saying he might win. I watched him get whacked good by a complete no name in the first round. I believe Woodward has the opportunity to be a great player but I think he needs some maturity and seasoning before he gets there. That's not a knock, he's really young and has plenty of time to get that maturity and seasoning.

Thanks for the eyewitness report nobcitypool.

It's evident to me Mora has jumped a ball or two in the last year or so. Put him up against Sky tomorrow in a fair test, and the line might be 3:2 IMO.

It was a rather surreal. I had just gotten to DCC, walked into the tournament area, looked to my immediate left and saw this kid who plays at our friendly Sunday night 8 ball tournament about 1/3 of the time. I said to the guy with me, I know that one guy, who is the young kid he is playing? He said "Oh, that's Skyler Woodward."

So I went over and watched the match. To be fair, the tables were really banking strange at DCC this past year and the kid who beat Woodward made it (I believe) to the sixth round in banks (amazing how much better someone can play when they haven't smoked a pound of dope in the past 24 hours - LOL). He can play but I just didn't see him beating Woodward when so many were talking about how awesome he was.

I would have to say that at this point in time,
Morra, Klatt, and even Hjorlefson would beat Sky;
no matter the table size.
If Sky continues playing and focuses correctly,
I figure in 2-3 years Sky will play heads up with the secondary- and tertiary-level champions.

Wasnt sure what everyone would say thats why i made this thread.. Sky did beat jessie bowman by 20 games a few months ago. jessie had a 10 game lead in the middle of game 1 and sky came back to end up leading after day 1..

It depends...what color is the cloth? What time zone? What day of the week? Is it a pool room, or a bar? The point is, they're all great players and any one of them could win given a multitude of circumstances or simply if they got 'in stroke' at the right time.
