I just uploaded a new gallery from negatives sent to me by Mike Haines. It is from a sheet of negs he labeled "Austin 1981." There are SEVERAL people in these photos I do not recognize. Please take a look and add a comment to identify any of them that you know for sure. Your help will be appreciated!:)

Sorry I only noticed Lizard out of those shots.

I must say that I really like the pictures. Its not only that they are older but they capture the whole event and sometimes are candid shots.
Today it seems like the opposite. Every picture is of a player down over a ball about to shoot.

Whats the latest year that you or Mike have Pictures from?

I'm really getting a kick out of seeing you pictures but have you given any thought that once you have put them out there they can be taken by who ever wishes to? I only posted a few pictures a while back on another site and found one of my pictures later on someone else's web site. This was a one of a kind picture I doubt anyone else had a picture of this guy and I foolishly just posted it. Not that they have any real value but it was mine and now it isn't. Just something to think about. Some of your pictures I think are quite unique.
I think one of the guys in these pictures is Jimmy King

We put up some shots from the 2005 Derby City Classic. The gallery with these shots is on my Smugmug page. Here's the link: http://billporter.smugmug.com/gallery/362924

I am particularly fond of the one we took of Efren shooting. Real intense look on his face and nicely composed and focused. Shooting pool photos is pretty challenging to me, so any time I take a good one, I'm pleased!:D

How you feel when photos are ripped off!

I definitely understand how you feel. You thought you had a unique image of someone, and bingo! there it is on someone's else's website and maybe they are implying it is their photo. A few weeks ago, I noticed an avatar of someone on this board that was made from a photo I took of Efren. One of my two or three favorite shots from the last 5 years. But it didn't bother me because I just took it as flattery. I wrote the guy and told him where the shot came from, even gave him a link so that he could see it in my gallery, and he wrote back saying he'd quit using it right away. I told him to go ahead, I didn't mind. I knew who had taken the shot, even if no one else did. Guess I'm just not too possessive about photos. On the other hand, if I lost out on a chance to SELL one for a nice price because someone had ripped it off and sold it themselves, then....THEN I'D BE P*****!!! Guess I'm just human after all!:p

LOL, that's definitely "Fat Ralph"!! I've never seen him with so much hair! :p
