Anyone have one or hit with one? I just wanted some info and people's opinions on them. Thanks.

I was wondering because I just got one on ebay for $31 and it sells on their website for $300. Did I get a good deal or just buy 30 bucks of firewood?

Before someone jumps on you and tells you to use the search feature, and before someone points out to them that you can't search for "kc" due to technical limitations of the site, I'll help you out with a couple of links.

I bought one, an ebony sneaky, around June04, for about $60. The cue arrived in a cardboard tube wrapped in just a poly sheath. I pulled the butt out first and actually liked what I saw, niece birds-eye maple fore spliced into a nice looking figured ebony butt. When I pulled the shaft out it was very clear maple. When I screwed it together, OUCH  , the shaft had a 1-1/2" piece missing right at the ferrule. I caught my finger in in it. KC wouldn't send another shaft, so I sent it back for a refund, which I did get. I guess you could get a good one...then again

KC isn't custom. You'll get better craftsmanship from almost any other mass production cue manufacturers than KC.

Correctomondo! They're just another mass-produced Chinese cue.

Yea, this is one of those situations where If it looks too good to be true, its because it is!!!!!

Yea i have seen those KC cues on Ebay for months, and they decent in the pics but i wouldnt buy one. Your better off getting a good production cue, or a custom cue.

Atleast then you have someone to deal with face to face.

Now this maybe a stretch, but its like the Dale Perry cues you see on Ebay too, that are discounted by ALOT. Not saying he makes a shitty product but, i would also kinda question why he is putting his stuff on Ebay at half the price.

I bought a KC cue quite a while ago to use as a break cue. Very pretty cue, cocobolo with 6 points, "southwest style", came with two shafts, moori medium tips. Bought it on eBay for $100 plus shipping. Very stiff cue. If I were to play with one now I'd be able to make the cue ball dance, but not when I bought it. It was so stiff that I decided to sand the shaft down and play around with that. That really got the cue to perform. I later put on a stack leather wrap, and a friend fell in love with the hit and the way the cue ball could be moved effortlessly, and he offered me $250 for it. Although I didn't really want to sell the cue, as I was very happy with it, I did part with it and sold it for the $250. That cue is my friend's favorite cue, and he has several high end cues. The key to making the cue really perform was the retapered shaft and a Talisman Hard tip. Man does that cue perform...
