Its a rare occation that I acquired a Kersenbrock cue, which is in original condition and never been refinished, the cue comes with one original shaft with micarta ferrule and the other shaft is custom made by local cuemaker.
6 points birdseye maple into pau ferro, I'll rate the cue 85% since we can't expect a cue that built in 80s in mint condition without refinish. Dings and blemish are inevitable but all of them are merely superficial. Even with very tiny wobble on the original shaft the cue is still very playable and hit tons. There's a deep hole on the top of the brass pin, this is one way to identify whether this is a genuine DPK but not omega/DPK which usually has only 5 points. I used to plan to send it back to Laurie to have the cue refinished and get the letter of authentication however its gona take me a while, before I do so I tend to open to anyone who is interested to make me an offer or trade ( prefer searing), pm me if any interested and I'll take some time to shoot the pix, you can judge from the pix whether its a geniune DPK or not, thanks.

After taking a carefully inspection, I have to do the update for the cue....

First the diameter of the shaft is pretty fat and is atleast 13mm, when putting up the cue altogether and rollit on the pool table I found out that I was wrong in the beginning.... If I don't mention probably no one can tell that the cue does have very tiny wobble, when rolling the shaft the ferrule "Never" jump off the table , it is pretty much straight ,as to the butt even not 100 % perfect but I'll say the butt is 95% straight rolling alone.
I can hardly believe that the cue is made in 80s. The guy who sold me this cue was a collector , he accompanied his friend to buy this cue at a show in states when they were both in college, and thats the story. I had several transaction with him and he's a decent guy, if he says this is indeed a DPK then it really is, his friend bought the cue brand new anyway, so there's only one previous owner if I am not counted in.

I am not sure the basewood is pau ferro or rosewood, but I believe its either one.

shoot some pix and I'll sent them to anyone who is interested.
