I purchased a Lambros ebony merry widow from Martin at superiorcues.com a few months back. I won some money at the BCA championships and decided to treat myself to a quality custom cue.
First off, I highly recommend Martin! Not only did I receive the cue significantly faster than if I'd ordered directly from Lambros, but his communication was great and he was very helpful throughout the ordering process. I wanted Mike's LD shafts, so had to get a new cue made opposed to buying a completed cue that Martin had in stock. I was told it could take a year when ordering through Lambros directly. I received my cue just 5 weeks after I paid my deposit.
The bad news was that the cue didn't arrive as I'd hoped. The specs were a bit off and it didn't look the way I had in mind or specified in my order request. I tried to overlook the issues but ultimately Martin traded with me a cue that better met my needs just to ensure I was happy in my dealings with him. I felt he went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied and I couldn't be more thankful. Without his effort, I would have been left with an expensive cue that I didn't quite like and would have had to sell what was supposed to be my happy Vegas memento.
All that aside, the cue I now have is a beautiful hoppe style ebony merry widow. It hits like no other cue I've had. A bit on the stiff side from coming off using a Predator 314, but I've adjusted and can't see ever going back.
