Since I have been getting jerked around by a member here I will post this as a stand alone post one time.

If you are refering to me I don't like the term "jerked around" I sold you that cue, and I said I'd buy it back, After we exchanged several e-mails, before I sent you a check, I asked if the cue had any nicks, chips etc, since I sold it to you,

you replied the shafts were re-rappered and re-tipped by Omen.

I don't want to pay what I offered for a Stacey with the shafts RE-TAPPERED by another cue maker.
No where in your add do you say that the shafts are re-tappered, not by Mike Stacey who made the cue but by another cue maker, also the shafts are re-tipped.

I was interested in buying back the cue I sold you, not a modified version of it. I think your were "jerking me around" & anyone that read your add and was interested in purchasing the cue by not stating the shafts are re-tappered by another cue maker.

I just over-nighted a cashier's check to another AZ'r for a un-moddified Stacey, and that is what I was interested in.

The only change is Pete Omen retapered the shafts to 12.5 with his taper, and sumo tips,really brought the cue to life. Thanks as this will help a I committed to another cue based on your pm's

You never mentioned re-tappering the shafts before and that is a big change to me, anything less than 13mm I consider small, I need to think about this, if you would have posted that the shafts were re-tappered or told me before now it would have been alot easier to decide, now I feel commited to buy a Stacey that only the butt is a Stacey, since the shafts are re-tappered and retipped with a different brand tip I consider that shafts are Omen's not Stacey's. IMHO

Tell you what, even though I am not in love with the idea of 12.5mm re-tappered shafts, I'll offer you $100 plus shipping more than I sold it to you for. I'll overnight a cashier's check Monday if you like, it's up to you............ I don't want you to be "stuck" with a cue you want to sell, I liked it in the first place or I wouldn't have bought it.

I have offered cues I bought from Deacon and Nick Serdula back to them for the same amount they sold them to me for so they could have first refusal before I sold them on the open market, I think offereing you $100 plus shipping over the cost you bought from me fair, but thats just how I think.......

$700 for that cue with full shafts is a steal of a deal...

but with the 12.5's and almost any other cue with the shafts retapered and taken down to 12.5mm really hurts the value of the cue...and i am sure others here agree, its not easy moving a cue with 12.5mm shafts!

Phil's (aka Panhndlce) assumption of the cue being in the same condition/specs as he sold it to daytonajoe is an honest mistake made here in my opinion.

after finding out the shafts were taken down that small, changing his mind is understandable....who wouldnt have to reconsider???

still offering to buy it back is doing more than his duty in my opinion, especially after considering the physical/value changes made to the cue....
 
Phil, I want to thank you again for offering me my avitar cue. You are the first person in a long time that has offered a cue back to me. I do appreciate that you had thought about me. You are a super standup guy period. I would never worry about anything you would sell, you are one of the only persons so far that I would have no problem sending a cue in the mail w/o receiving the cash first.
