My buddy is looking at getting a lathe for tips and shaft work primarily. He has hopes of making his own cue some day. I told him that every cuemaker
I've seen has had a separate machine for shaft work than for turning down butts. Anyways, he's looking to get something nicer than the makeshift
setups on ebay. I know the porper lathe is well regarded...what model would you guys recommend that might be a good value? He'll obviously be keeping
an eye out for a deal on a used machine but I was hoping you guys could help tell him which ones to stay away from or ones you'd recommend.
